Born in the Eastern part of rural Zimbabwe, Bishop Muparutsa overcame a challenging family background and difficult childhood to receive the call to ministry in the early 90’s.
After graduating from Seminary in 1995 Bishop Muparutsa started his pastoral ministry in Epworth, an impoverished suburb in Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe. He was appointed National Evangelist of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe (PAOZ) in 2000.
As National Evangelist, Bishop Muparutsa was influential in numerous Evangelism and Church Planting Campaigns that saw thousands receive Jesus as Lord and over dozens of churches planted in a period spanning half a decade. Bishop Muparutsa has been used mightily in signs and wonders with many being healed and delivered through his ministry.
In 2006 he assumed leadership of Jubilee Christian Centre which is located in the Milton Park suburb of Harare. In 2010, He was appointed the Provincial Overseer of PAOZ’s Harare Central Province. In this role, he provided leadership and oversight to PAOZ’s pastors and churches situated within the capital.

By virtue of being Overseer, he sat on the PAOZ’s National Executive Council. In 2018, Bishop Muparutsa was elected to seat on PAOZ’s Apostolic Council, a position he holds presently.
In the same year, he was also appointed as the Assistant Presiding Bishop of the PAOZ.
Bishop Muparutsa has travelled extensively in Zimbabwe preaching and evangelizing in cities, churches and conference meetings. He has also travelled beyond the borders of Zimbabwe preaching the gospel in countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, India, and the United States of America.
In the same year, he was also appointed as the Assistant Presiding Bishop of the PAOZ.
Bishop Muparutsa has travelled extensively in Zimbabwe preaching and evangelizing in cities, churches and conference meetings. He has also travelled beyond the borders of Zimbabwe preaching the gospel in countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, India, and the United States of America.
He oversees the Elijah-Elisha Council, a peer group of pastors dedicated to building fellowship, accountability and support to clergymen in the city of Harare.
Bishop Muparutsa has earned a reputation for dealing with difficult matters within the body of Christ and has been renowned for reconciliation and bridge-building. He boldly challenges the church to uphold biblical standards for living and to strive for excellence in undertaking the Great Commission. Over the years, he has mentored and serves as a trusted adviser to many eminent leaders within Zimbabwe’s religious, business, and political spheres.
Bishop Muparutsa is happily married to Sekai for 20 years. He holds a Masters of Arts in Leadership and Developmental Studies with the African Leadership and Management Academy (ALMA). He has lectured in a number of Bible Schools with an emphasis on Leadership, Pastoral Care, and Evangelism related courses.
A keen follower of football, Bishop Muparutsa coaches PAOZ Jubilee Christian Centre’s football team. The team is the 2018 Champion of the Harare Christian Soccer League (HCSL)
